Great Britain: St.Helens Cable Co. Ltd., £10 shares, 18[99], #24, scrollwork at left, mauve. Lancashire company that manufactured electric cable for the telegraph and electrical industry. Also made the steel cables for the transporter bridge across the Mersey in 1901. Became the St.Helens Cable & Rubber Co. Ltd. in 1906 when they expanded into tyres for the growing motor industry. VF and rare.
