Australia: Bank of Van Diemen's Land Limited, [30] shares, 188[91], #1386, black, yellow underprint, printed at the "Mercury" Office, Hobart. Established in 1823 and incorporated in 1880. The bank heavily financed the silver mining boom of the 1880's but it failed during the crash in 1890 and closed its doors in August 1891. These shares were issued in the July! VF and rare.
