Great Britain: Victoria-Hansom Cab Company Limited, £1 shares, 188[7], #145, attractive scrollwork at left, black. Registered in 1886 to acquire the exclusive rights to manufacture, license and use the Victoria-Hansom Cab in the United Kingdom. The cab was a new design which converted very easily from an enclosed Hansom to an open Victoria in a few seconds. The cab was successfully trialled in Edinburgh, Birmingham and Bristol but the company was in liquidation by 1888. GVF and rare.
