U.S.A.: Waltham Watch and Clock Company, First Mortgage 6% Gold Bond, 1923, a specimen $1000 from the ABNCo. archives, bald eagle sits atop a Waltham Watch, slate blue-grey and black, with coupons, overprinted SPECIMEN. Originally founded in 1850 the company moved to Waltham, Massachusetts in 1854. It has passed through several names changes. It failed in the 1950's. Rights were sold to a new Delaware company in 1958 also named Waltham Watch Company. VF-EF.
