Japan: 3.5% Public Loan, first year of issue, Showa 18 (1943), bonds for 25 yen, purple, 50 yen, green, 100 yen, blue, 500 yen, red and 1000 yen, brown, Takeuchi Sukune at right, Ube shrine at left, with coupons. This issued replaced the series of 4% bonds and was issued for 5 years before the design was changed to this. The 1000 yen has a post war revalidation stamp at top. Post war inflation rendered most bonds worthless. Generally VF (5).
