Japan: 3.5% Public Loan, first year of issue, Showa 11 (1936), bonds for 50 yen, green, 100 yen, blue and 500 yen, red, Takeuchi Sukune at right, with coupons. This issue replaced the series of 4% bonds and was issued for 5 years before the design was changed and a vignette of the Ube shrine was added at the left. The 500 yen has a post war revalidation stamp at top. Post war inflation rendered most bonds worthless. Generally VF (3).
