Egypt: Egyptian Mail Steamship Company Limited, 5 deferred shares of £1, [1907], #B1349, lovely piece with steamship in centre flanked by docks and river scene, red and black, printed by Waterlow & Sons. British-owned company that provided a fast mail service between Marseilles and Alexandria from 1907 to 1909. The company’s ships RMS Cairo and sister ship RMS Heliopolis were built by the Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company of Govan, Scotland. Near EF.
