Rhodesia: Red & White Rose Gold Mining Co. Ltd., pair of certificates for £1 shares, both dated 189[9], one more decorative with ornate title, red and black, #745, the second states 'ordinary shares', plainer red printing, #228, these together with company prospectus. The first is signed by Arthur Morton Grenfell and the Hon. Charles White, the second by Grenfell and Sir John C. Willoughby as directors. Formed to acquire claims in the Bulawayo district. Grenfell was of the London banking family, born 1873. The Hon Charles White took part in the Jameson Raid as commander of the Mashonaland Mounted Police. Sir John Willoughby was second in command of the Jameson Raid in 1895. Both GVF. (2)
