1886 (21 Jan.) envelope ex the Burton correspondence to London, bearing ½a. (2) 1a. (4) and 2a. pair, all cancelled by "burmese. field /sub. p.o./no 2" squared-circle d.s. with Bombay and arrival datestamps on reverse. Notes on the reverse written by Burton include "Poor Joe. Heath a surg. in my batch killed at Segain" and "This goes down by Prize Steamer No. 2 (King Thebaw's)". A rare and spectacular double rate franking
