(x) South India, Telegu-Choda (12th-13th century), uniface gold Pagoda, 3.44g, Bhujavi in Tamil Grantha script, two large 'Sris', a spear between sun and moon (Chattopadhyaya 424), toned, very fine

As Chattopadhyaya points out, many rulers in the area of Nellore and Cuddapah assumed the title Bhujabalavira during this period. Over 16,000 coins bearing variants of the Bhujavi / Bhujavira, Bhujaba (la) legend were found in Kodur in the Nellore District in 1913, and it is still uncertain exactly who issued them, but they are usually ascribed to the Telegu-Chodas.
