Queen Victoria (1837-1901), Diamond Jubilee, 1897, AR Medal, two allegorical figures raising crown above central frieze containing crowned and veiled bust left, rev. wreath of roses, thistles and shamrocks, surmounted by crown, BRITANNIA GAUDET, within VICTORIA REGINA ANNO REGNI SEXAGESIMO AD 1897, 38mm x 26mm, 17.18g (Eimer -; BHM -), unlisted by Brown, a beautifully toned and heavy medallet, unmarked but undoubtedly silver, as struck, extremely rare, with integral suspension loop and ring, see also lot 6198 for comparable Golden Jubilee issue
