Victoria (1837-1901), Official Golden Jubilee AE Medal, 1887, by J.E. Boehm and F. Leighton, VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX, crowned and veiled bust left, rev. IN. COMMEMORATION, enthroned figure of Empire, facing, flanked by standing figures of Science, Letters and Art, opposite those of Industry and Agriculture. At their feet, below Empire, are Mercury, reclining, and Time. Above, two cherubs displaying shields inscribed MDCCCLXXXVII and MDCCCXXXVII, and V.R.I. in a wreath. Five linked shields, inscribed ASIA AMERICA EUROPE AUSTRALASIA and AFRICA in exergue, 77mm (Eimer 1733b; BHM 3219), once lightly wiped, otherwise good very fine
