The Rymer Collection | Charles I (1625-1649), Civil War Issues, Oxford Crown, 1643, 'Declaration' type, 'Shrewsbury' die, King on horseback left, ground line below, plume behind, rev. Oxford die with declaration in two lines, three Oxford plumes above, 29.6g, 7h (Morrieson A-3; Brooker 871 these dies; North 2405; Spink 2946A), a 'cookie cut' flan flaw at 6 o'clock and possibly lightly smoothed in fields, otherwise richly cabinet toned, a most handsome very fine, rare in this condition
