P. M. B. Webb served variously with the Manchester Regiment, the Northumberland Fusiliers (with the rank of Lance-Serjeant) and 506 H.S. Engineering Company during the Great War. He is additionally entitled to a Silver War Badge and is confirmed with entitlement to the clasp for his 1914 Star; this and the rosettes were issued to him in May 1923, when he appears to have been residing at 8 Ivy Street, Higher Broughton, Manchester.
