Gerhardus Daniel Van der Linde lived at Klarney House, Bloeomfontein and is noted as having service during the 'Rebellion' and served in German South-West Africa at the start of the Great War. He arrived on the strength of 'B' Company, 2nd South African Infantry in France in April 1917. He suffered a contusion on 20 September 1917 and was discharged on 20 January 1919; sold together with named lids for Medals and copied Service Record.
