William Henry Jones was born at Swansea in 1888 and joined the South Wales Borderers in August 1907. During the Great War he served in Mesopotamia from 17 March 1915 and joined the Royal Flying Corps in February 1918. He served with No. 18 Squadron, Royal Air Force.
