1914-15 Star (19532 Pte W. Roberts. R. W. Fus:), very fine

William Roberts lived at Rhos-on-sea, Denbigh prior to enlisting with the 16th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers at Carmarthen. Entering the war in France on 2 December 1915 he later transferred to the 1st Battalion. Roberts was killed in action on 3 September 1916, he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. Further entitled to British War and Victory Medals.
