1939-45 Star; Air Crew Europe Star; War Medal 1939-45, in box of issue named to his widow 'Mrs K. G. Wright, 3 Colemore Road, Boscombe E, Bournemouth, Hants.', ticker tape with service number '161783', the reverse of the box inscribed 'bought from next-of-kin', good very fine (3)

Alfred Edgar Wright was born in 1915 and was killed in action when flying in Halifax LW505 of No. 640 Squadron, which had taken off from Leconfield at 2352hrs on 20 February 1944. They were shot down in the early hours of the following morning and the entire crew are buried in the Durnbach War Cemetery, Germany.
