George John Frederick Page enlisted with 2/1 (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment on 4 September 1914. This regiment entered the war in Egypt on 30 August 1915 before being posted to Gallipoli on 19 September 1915. The regiment landed at Suvla Bay and remained there until the allied evacuation. After a period of rest in Britain, Page returned to action in France on 16 June 1917 serving there until 18 August. He was demobilised on 5 March 1919; sold together with copied research including M.I.C.
