Victory Medal 1914-19 (42026 Wkr. R. G. Howfield. Q.M.A.A.C.), good very fine
Rhoda Gwendoline Howfield was born in Bristol on 25 August 1877. She worked in Swansea as a Telegrapher prior to joining Queen Mary's Army Auxilliary Corps. Posted to France on 11 June 1918, she arrived in Boulogne on 6 July and was later posted to Dieppe (20 July) where she worked as a Telegraphist. Discharged on 12 September 1919, she was recommended for a Pension by the Medical Board having suffered from Chronic Indigestion since December 1918.
