Victory Medal 1914-19 (12808 Pte. E. Mutton. Welsh R.), traces of verdigris, very fine

Edwin Mutton was born at Rhymney, Monmouthsire, East Merthyr. Enlisting with 8th Battalion, Welsh Regiment he joined the war at Gallipoli on 4 August 1915. Mutton survived the fighting here and was transferred to the 19th Battalion, Welsh Regiment in France. While serving with this formation he was killed on 10 July 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial; sold together with copied research.
