British War Medal 1914-20 (1885 Pte. G.W. Walden. 6-Lond. R.), nearly very fine

Private George Walden, a native of Walthamstow, served with the 6th (City of London) Battalion (Rifles), London Regiment, during the Great War. Seeing action from 18 March 1915 he died of wounds six months later, on 27 September. He is commemorated at the Noeux-Les-Mines cemetery, in the Pas de Calais region of France.
