William Franz/Frank Mahlendorff was the son of Edward Franz Mahlendorff, who set up as a watch and clock importer and manufacturer established in 1860. William took over the business upon the death of his father and had premises at 53 Theobald's Road, with their first registration at the London Assay Office coming in March 1908. The business closed in 1937.
