Archibald Quarm was born at Plymouth on 16 June 1899 and joined the Royal Navy on 25 July 1917. He was lost aboard the trawler Dirk, off Flamborough Head, when she was sunk by a submarine on 28 May 1918. Quarm is comemorated upon the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
