Charles I (1625-49), Tower mint under the King, 1625-42, Crown, 2.27g, m.m. plume, group B/C mule, crowned, draped and cuirassed bust left, with wide ruff, value V behind, rev. crowned oval shield dividing C-R (North 2184; SCBI 33 (Brooker) 201 - this coin; Schneider 238, different dies; S.2713A), a judder in the strike has caused the first part of the legend to slip, as well as flatness from the crown to RE of REX, and of course the corresponding effect on the reverse, but there is very minimal wear and the details are extremely fine
