1858 (16 Aug.) double rate brown envelope registered from Melbourne to Glasgow, bearing Calvert roulette 7-9 6d. orange-yellow [9] with roulettes on all sides, imperf 6d. and rouletted Octagonal 1/-, all tied by Barred Numeral "1", showing handstruck "d6", oval Registered London transit d.s. in red and, on reverse, despatch and arrival datestamps; the envelope with some faults including large part of flap missing and tear through reverse which also affects foot of face panel. A very unusual combination of imperf and rouletted stamps and one of the most important covers from the brief period of use of rouletted stamps in 1857-58.  Photo
