Anglo Saxon-England, Continental Phase (695-740), 'Maastricht' Interlace, Sceat, diademed bust left, striated hair combed back, exaggerated features, eye and circular ear misplaced, beaded 'T' behind neck, cross pommée in mouth, pellets below chin, beaded border, rev. interlaced 'cross' of five limbs with pellet ends and trefoil of pellets between, central pellet, beaded border, 1.16g (SL 60-30; SCBI 69, 308 this coin; Spink 795), rub to high points, otherwise of solid fabric but for greenish staining to reverse, a really good very fine, rare and highly desirable
