Commemorative Medals
The B.H. Joseph & Co. Birmingham, Royal Visit Medal, made in three sizes - silver, bronze and white metal.
Obverse with "TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales" around the edge, with jugate portraits facing left. The reverse has the Prince of Wales's feathers to the left and the star of a Knight Grand Commander of the Most Exalted Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) on the right. The 3 medals included are all white metal of differing diameter, 33mm, 35mm, 38mm. Together with a postally used box franked 1d sent from Birmingham to Dundee, Scotland, having contained a pricelist for the medal issue and examples of the medals. A fascinating combination of the medals and associated ephemera. (5)
