The Royal visit to India 1905-06

1905-06 two typed letters signed, the first 1905 (24 Dec.) on "Princes of Wales's Camp, India" letter paper to "Sir Alan [Manby]" thanking him on behalf of the Prince for "your clear and succinct report upon the health of the children at York Cottage ... I am glad to tell you that Their Royal Highnesses are very well - Long may they remain so, and come back home in safety. They desire to thank you and Lady Manby for your kind good wishes...". Signed "Arthur Bigge". The other, 1906 (30 April) on the same paper though struck through and with typed "H.M.S. "Renown", Gibraltar" to "E.H. Pelling Esq." reading ".. it is not possible for the Prince of Wales to say whether the Princess and he can attend the Meeting of the Civil Service Athletic Association on the 9th of June ... Their Royal Highnesses plans are a little unsettled at that time.". Signed "Arthur Bigge"
