The Royal visit to India 1889-90 by Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale
Commemorative Medals
The eldest son of the Prince of Wales (future King Edward VII), and heir presumptive to the throne, visited India on a major visit. A medallion was struck in silver (1) and bronze (2) with the design in a yellow metal bearing a suspension loop (1). All with a portrait of the Prince and the wording "In Commemoration of the Visit of His Royal Highness Prince Albert Victor of Wales to India 1889-1890" (4)
