1889 (11 July) attractive envelope to London, Ontario bearing Small Queen 1c. bright yellow pair with 2c. orange-red Registration stamp (3) all tied by dumb circular cork cancellation with Blyth despatch alongside and large "R" in oval plus nameless arrival c.d.s., the reverse with two more strikes of the despatch c.d.s., another large "R" in oval and London arrival duplex. Pays postage 3c. (under 1oz.) and registration 5c. (raised on 8 May 1889). The franking rules were relaxed allowing the registration stamp to cover some of the postage cost
