1855 (5 Nov.) envelope to Haverfordwest bearing Stars 1d. red-brown on blued paper, perf.14 strip of three tied by London "48" numerals, marked "Paid 2/3d." and "Registered 81" with a fine strike of the large crown/"registered" and London Paid c.d.s.; the reverse with the Post Office British Army despatch c.d.s. in bluish, London transit and Haverfordwest (20.11) arrival c.d.s. Folding creases and minor soiling. A rare registered cover form this war zone

The postage stamps pay the 3d. concessionary rate (affixed in London) the 2/- for registration was only paid in cash
