1862 (15 Aug.) envelope to Genoa, marked "Registered" in red ink and numbered "3", with single-franking 1855-57 1/- green tied by a neat strike of "561" numeral with Newport - Mon despatch c.d.s., with London small crown "registered" (W&J 1133), standard-type London registered dated oval code "M" and "PD" in circle, all in red, the reverse with indistinct arrival c.d.s. There are a few other manuscript markings on the front indicating weight, etc. The reverse is a little battered
