Ardnamurchan: 1857 (24 Nov.) blue wrapper to Edinburgh bearing 1d. Stars on white paper (8) tied by fine strikes of the type III "ardnamurchan" postmark in blue-black, marked "Registered" in reddish ink in the lower corner, the reverse with Strontian, Glasgow and Edinburgh c.d.s. Three vertical filing creases which affect some of the adhesives. A fine example of this scarce postmark
