1852 (2 July) blue wrapper to the Bank of Scotland, Edinburgh bearing 1841 2d. plate 4, PB-PD (good to large margins, just touching south-west corner) with 1841 1d. plate 116, GK, and plate 139, LB (mixed margins) cancelled by "324" numeral of Guernsey and showing a superb strike of the rare and distinctive Guernsey crowned "registered" struck in dark blue, the reverse with Guernsey despatch, London (3.6) and Edinburgh (4.6) c.d.s. There are a couple of light creases or wrinkles which do not detract from this magnificent cover.


Only two examples of this Guernsey registration mark have been reported, this is more significant being used in the early 1850's. A highly important Channel Islands cover. R.P.S. Certificate (2005)
