1868 (13 Aug.), entire letter from Hamburg to Tepic, carried through the forwarding agent Teodoro Kunhardt with cachet inside on flap and with manuscript notation in Spanish translating "Franking of 1½ (shiilling) payable to Mr. Nicholás Peréz González (12 reales)", then entering the mails in Guadalajara from onward transmission to Tepic where it arrived after a journey lasting 43 days, franked 4r. on blue cancelled at Guadalajara. One of only four Maritime usages recorded in the entire Guadalajara issue. Elmhurst Certificate (2003). Scott 28, S.G. 16A
