Contains some information of China exports of trade, situations and figures in the U.S. during 1858, in the midst of the Second Opium War (page 223-225). There are also details of the new Chinese Treaty (Treaty of Peking) (page 493) with general descriptions of Article 1 to 9, 13 to 16, 20 and 24 to 29 elaborating the ratified Treaty signed between the U.S. and the Qing Emperor
