Major General Sir Charles van Straubenzee: 1859 (8 Feb.) neat envelope addressed as to the British Army, Canton bearing 1855-57 6d. with 1d. Red (3) tied by Darlington duplex, sent "via Marseilles", the reverse with Bishop Auckland (8.2), London (9.2) and a good strike of Hong Kong type 7 c.d.s. (23.3) (a very late date for this). Marked as from the Bishop of Durham. A good cover


1859年2月8日第二次大沽戰役前, 由英國經馬賽寄駐廣州英軍統帥 Charles van Straubenzee KCB 的信封; 貼1855-57年6d 一枚及1d 三枚, 銷Darlington duplex 戳. 封背有2月8日Bishop Auckland 日戳及2月9日倫敦日戳, 3日23日7 型香港中轉戳, (極晚使用日期), 保存良好.
