1840 (18 July) an entire letter from Turner & Co in Macao to Messrs John Gladstone & Co. Liverpool, "via Marseilles", rated at "1/-" and bearing a faint strike of "INDIA" in oval. Notes inside indicate that this was carried on the 'Mary Elizabeth' and was received on 14th December. Believed to be early use of the new Falmouth rate. The contents are almost identical to the previous lot, being written on the same day by the same writer


1840年7月18日澳門Turner & Co. 經馬賽寄英國利物浦Messrs John Gladstone 信函, 遞送費為 "1/-", 蓋有㰐圓型"INDIA" 戳記, 裡面的筆記表明信函在“瑪麗伊麗莎白” 號上攜帶的, 並於 12 月 14 日收到. 相信是早期信函使用新的法爾茅斯遞送費. 信內容與上一批幾乎相似且是同一寫信人同一天寫的.
