Steamer" registered from Ewarton to London bearing 2d. grey pairs (2) cancelled "196", showing oval-framed "jamaica/registered" datestamp, oval-framed "r" and two London Registered oval datestamps (20 and 21.2) tying one of the pairs, despatch datestamp on reverse. Photo

Note: In 1858 Ewarton was allocated "A38" though the Post Office was closed soon after. When the office was re-opened in 1873 it was given numeral "196" which had earlier been used at Chirk, Denbighshire
