1871 (3 Aug.) envelope from May Hill to Newmarket Post Office, bearing 3d. green neatly cancelled "A54", despatch and arrival (4.8) datestamps on reverse (flap torn); an unusual cover with the "A54" supposedly transferred to Mile Gulley from November 1871 though this obviously not the case
