1863 (24 July) front registered from Kingston to London, bearing 6d. dull lilac and a 6d. grey-purple pair all neatly cancelled "A01" and showing double oval-framed "jamaica/registered" handstamp (Proud R2) alongside despatch datestamp and with London Registered oval datestamp (14.8) at foot. Most attractive and according to Proud the earliest recorded example of this first Jamaica registered handstamp. Photo
