Forwarding Agents Letters
1737 (25 May) entire letter from Manzanillas, Mexico to Middleburg, Holland, probably carried privately throughout as there are no postal rate markings and showing, on reverse, "Jamaica 25 June 1737 Forwarded by your Honble Servant Benj. Bravo"; the contents include "I decided to remain here for 2-3 months and then to depart for Portobello as we have heard that the town of Panama has been totally burnt". A very fine and exceptionally early Jamaica forwarding agents letter offered with transcript of contents. Photo
