note: Lady Gull was the wife of the eminent Victorian surgeon, William Withey Gull (1816-90), identified by Stephen Knight in "Jack the Ripper: The final Solution" (1985), and later by Alan Moore in "From Hell" as London's most infamous murderer.
Dr. Gull became physician-in-ordinary to Edward VII and treated him for typhus, he was subsequently appointed physician-in-ordinary to Queen Victoria
