1881 soldier's envelope to London, headed "From Sgt C. Tubb 1st Field Telegraphs R.E. Standarton Transvaal", countersigned by Commanding Officer, bearing 1878 1d. with margin at right overlapping edge of cover, centrally cancelled by target obliterator and showing, on reverse, Durban (1.8) and London (29.8) datestamps; some light stains.
