1879 (Oct.) envelope from Middelburg to Germany, bearing 1877-79 "v.r./Transvaal" (Type 6) imperforate 6d. blue and blue (S.G. 121, light crease), in combination with Cape of Good Hope 1871-76 ½d. grey, 1d. carmine-red and 1877 6d. bright violet, all cancelled "12" in concentric circles and with the 1d. additionally tied by Cape Town c.d.s. (27.10), showing "2½d" accountancy handstamp in red and, on reverse, London (17.11) and Derenburg (19.11) d.s. A rare and most attractive franking. B.P.A. Certificate (1991). Photo
