1888 (11 Apr.) envelope (flap missing) addressed internally, bearing 1d. without date on granite paper with embossed Arms tied by oval "vryheid" datestamp in violet, showing red manuscript "Retour afzender" (Return to sender) and signed by Vryheid postmaster with, on reverse, "Geadverteerd En onafgahaald, P.K.
