1860 (21 Apr.) envelope from Cape Town to Birmingham, marked "per Athens", bearing 1858 6d. pale rose-lilac with unofficial wide roulettes, clearly tied by messy triangular obliterator, showing red London Paid transit c.d.s. (25.5) alongside with despatch and arrival datestamps on reverse. Very rare, only a few covers recorded. F.W. Collins Certificate (1983). Photo
