In June 1890 the Bechuanaland Protectorate and the colony of British Bechuanaland came under one Postal Administration, and the adhesives of British Bechuanaland were used in the Protectorate until 1897

1894 (July) envelope to France and re-addressed internally, bearing 1888 ½d. and 1891 4d., both tied by light "gaberones/b.b" c.d.s. and showing, on revere, Mafeking (14.7), London (6.8) and French transit and arrival datestamps; the 4d. with some minor perf faults at top due to being fixed at edge of envelope.
