1885 soldier's envelope headed "From No 84 Sergt E H Cox 1st Mounted Rifles", part of the Warren Expedition, addressed to England, countersigned by Commanding Officer, bearing uncancelled Stellaland 1d. red and showing Barkly West c.d.s. for 12 April, where it entered the Cape Colony postal system, with Cape Town (15.4) and Derby (7.5) datestamps on reverse; the 1d. defective and a little stained, the envelope with some small faults. The only Stellaland military cover known. Photo
